Niches are all around you, everywhere you look, even online. Frequenting online forums can yield much more than hours of wasted time and carpal tunnel syndrome; it can yield some great niches.
It requires a bit of effort, but when you read the responses and questions left by people, pluck out the keywords in their statements. You may be surprised at what you find.
As an example, while browsing through a gardening forum, one poster was asking about cactus care. This topic may be passed over by a number of people, but it could also prove to be a successful niche to pursue.
Finding various forums is not as difficult as you think, there’s even a site dedicated to tracking and searching forums called Board Tracker.
Once you’ve found your niche, the forums can then lend you ideas for topics to write about within the niche and a way to help you market your new website.
